S1 E11 Veterans & PTSD with Chanthou Thouen & Morgan McLellan

PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) is a very real disorder and something many veterans deal with on a daily basis. So how do we cope when someone we love has died or taken their life because of PTSD? For Chanthou Thoeun this became her reality when Rico, her daughter's father succumb to suicide. Consumed with grief and emotions, she tried to navigate this loss as well as care for her daughter. An unexpected stranger Morgan McLellan would reach out to help Chanthou with Rico's Veteran's benefits. A unique friendship formed and both ladies realized they wanted to help others. Thus the Wild Roses Warrior Foundation, a non-profit was formed to help veteran's and their families. Everything from navigating veteran's paperwork, emotional support, to helping families who have endured the same experiences. These ladies also recognize that going through loss and life depends on keeping their faith. Bible Verse from the episode: Micah 7:8 This episode is dedicated in memory of Rico DeMorano If you'd like to connect with Morgan or Chanthou visit their website at https://www.thewildroseswarriorfoundation.org/ No veteran or veteran family member left behind
