S1 E15 Dealing with Loss and Addiction with Belinda T. Mooney

We know that in grief there can be unspeakable pain. A pain that sometimes is so hard to endure that there seems no way out. And its in those moments its easy for people to want to numb or escape the pain through drugs or alcohol. Belinda Mooney understood this all too well, when she experienced addiction in her own family. And as a result she has made it her mission to share the effects that addiction can play in times of grief.

Andrea and Jennifer talk openly with Belinda on this week's episode about the effects of addiction in grief. Belinda shares ways to be supportive to those in crisis and offers support for those going through loss in her journal and what she calls the TLC's (Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes).
